Questions about '88 Mazda Rx7 Convertible??...?

I recently just got an 88 rx7 convertible. I was reading up on the options that it has and I have a few questions..first off..what is a removable targa panel? also, it says it has a security system..how does that work? i've googled it but couldn't find any info ..
