There is no specific episode that he dies in. But in Who Shot Mr Burns (Part 2) Mr. Burns is taken to the Marvin Monroe Memorial Hospital.
Then in The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular, Troy McClure mentions that Bleeding Gums Murphy and Dr. Marvin Monroe died during the past year.
And in Alone Again, Natura-Diddly a torabstone appears with Marvin Monroe's name on it during Maude's funeral.

This is from an interview with producer-writer Mike Scully:

The Onion: When did Dr. Marvin Monroe die?

Mike Scully: I remeraber that very well. I was in the room, and we just needed a name for a hospital. Somebody pitched "Marvin Monroe Memorial Hospital," and we laughed and put it in the show. Then, later, somebody said, "Well, this means he'll have to be dead from now on." We just kind of shrugged and said, "Okay." We didn't see a lot in his future anyway. But it kind of happened in reverse. We had the joke of the hospital first, then decided he would have to die because of that.
 
Dr. Monroe didn't die of shock, it showed him giving their $$ back at the end of the epi. They never said, but if anyone can somehow find out, it would be greatly appreacated. My boyfriend is a HUGE fan (he even has many tattoos) and that is the only thinghe asked me to ask on this site. hope someone can find out.

Gill and Hans Moleman were killed off sevral times, in non-halloween episodes, but are always brought back

Also - the death of Marvin Monroe has always been a mystery. No one even knew he was dead until the 138th Episode Spectacular, which gave out a bunch of useless trivia. A lot of it false, too. Sometimes I think they wrote in wrong facts just to screw with the fans.

If I may how the Dr died it was from a old show of the Simspons when they went to him for help and end up kiling him by geting him shocked!
Funny that no one was arrested but then again we all know how the police are in Springfield don't we?

I verified that Dr. Marvin Monroe died -- never said how he died though.

I almost forgot Frank "Grimey" Grimes. They showed his torabstone in last weekend's episode.
 
Huh. It's been awhile since you've watched the show, eh?

Maude Flanders is one that has permanently died. Some have been killed off, but only in the Treehouse of Horror sense, so it doesn't count for much.
 
I haven't got sky or cable therfore I haven't had the chance to watch any of the new episodes of the simpsons.

But, can you tell me which characters have died!?

I know about Bleeding gums Murphy but that's it.
