Bought it recently as a project. It had been sitting for a couple of years and for some reason fuel line(s) missing. I need to know proper hookup. There are two nipples (right/left side of carb). Which one should be connected to petcock and what is the other one for?

Thanks for the thought, Clint. I had thought about that too, but there is only one port on the petcock. I agree about the vaccuum line idea tho because the carb nipples are different diameters. The larger one appears to be the same size as the petcock. The smaller one "looks" like it could be sized for a "typical" vaccuum line.

Greetings,
I am in the exact same situation that the original poster is, or was.
I took the carb off about a year ago to clean it out. I figured I would be able to pick up a service manual, but the dealer said they are out of print. I have finally got around to putting it back on, but I forget how the lines go.
There are 4 nipples, 2 on left, one on the right and one under the float tub. I remember that one nipple lead to a line that went under the seat and that the float tub nipple looped around to one of the other nipples on the carb. One nipple is larger, and I assume that's the fuel intake. So the question is, of the 2 nipples left, which gets the loop from the float tub and which goes to the line under the seat. I assume the line going under the seat is attached to the airbox, or maybe it just vents off.

Regards,
John
