Now i know this movie is rated R... and i'm 17 years old and at my theater you need a signature of someone 17 and over to get you into a rated R movie, and i was going to get my two friends in, but they were like no, you need a parent to sign you in and "Sit with you in the theater" if you're under 17.. and the person to get the tickets from doesn't even ask for IDs for some of the people. Now tell me what is the difference between signing a couple kids into a movie knowing what it's rated for and why( there was a sign saying graphic nudity of male private parts) and having to have the parent sit with you, if the parent knows your going to see this movie and what's in it, why do theyneed to be sitting with you// it makes no sense. It was definately a controversial day as the people at my theater are retarted at carrying out their job... I was just more upset that she lets people in without IDs because she assumes "oh they're old enough" another typical person who judges people all the time, if you're going to have a Rated R movie, WHY NOT ask everyone for IDs.... sorry for this rant.
No in response, the person wasn't fat..? it was a she. i know she doesn't like my friends i tried to get in though. hahaha.

That is taking it a little too far... When I was younger I would just have my grandpa buy the tickets or something and me and my friends would go in (my family didn't care what I saw lol) Maybe the theater has been sued in the past or have a lot of complaints from parents because their kid saw a movie and they were underage. The probably don't card people that look like they are well over 21 or so... I am almost 23 and have gotten carded a couple of times... actually couldn't even buy a dvd at walmart once because I didn't have my damn ID on me and I was close to 20 at the time I believe... There is a mall here where if you are in it on Friday and Saturday you have to be over 18 or accompanied by someone over 21... they actually have the security guards walking around checking IDs... things are crazy... as long as there are over-protective people around that complain and show their @ss things will go that way... I would try a different theater if you have another around you... might have better luck then... or just buy your tickets at a kiosk or online then pick them up there with the machine so you don't have to go through the people in line (get a prepaid gift or debit card if you need to)

Well they probably are doing that because Bruno is basically a hilarious gay porn movie, it has explict adult content, too much if you ask me. Probably why they are asking for IDs, because of the content
