I noticed, when they revived "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"
for Broadway, there was a number called "Glee Club Rehearsal," which wasn't in the original play, but in the animated version. Did they get that number from the animated version?

Nope, "Glee Club Rehearsal" was part of the play before the animated special came out (although like the 1999 version, Patty is replaced with Sally).

"Glee Club Rehearsal (Home on the Range)" never appeared on any You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown original cast records/CD's until the 1999 revival original cast CD.

"Home, Home on the Range (Gimme my pencil!),
Where the deer and the antelope play (Not on your life!)"

There was a point when I was younger when I knew every word of every song of two musicals: 1776 and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, but always I remember "Glee Club Rehearsal" being there. Now that you mention it, "Glee Club Rehearsal" was always in the book but it couldn't fit on the LP.

Hey! He's still got my pencil! :)

Wasn't there also a song about Lucy wanting to be Queen? Or is there another Peanuts musical I got this confused with? Did they take it out for the revival? I've seen the animated version at least a dozen times, but haven't ever seen it in person.

It wasn't a song, but dialogue between Charlie Brown and Lucy. I remember it from the 1973 TV Hallmark Hall of Fame production on NBC. Bill Hinnant reprised his role of Snoopy from the Broadway cast, and Barry Livingston (of My Three Sons fame) played Linus. "Glee Club Rehearsal" was also in that production. Sadly, it's never been released to video or DVD. And, in fact, there is a second Peanuts musical: Snoopy!!! The Musical. Bill Hinnant reprised the title role, and it premiered in San Francisco in 1975, then moved to Broadway in 1979. It was also turned into an animated special for CBS in 1988.
