Question on the usage of the phrase or cliche:' for the lack of a better word '?

Ex. For the lack of a better word, she is "evil" -- I know this is correct usage.

What about this sentence ? -- she is just "emotionally unstable".

Since 'emotionally unstable' consist of two words, which of the follow should I use ?

1. For lack of a better words, she is emotionally unstable.
2. For lack of better words, she is emotionally unstable.
3. For lack of a better phrase, she is emotionally unstable.
4. Any other advices ?
