question on mario cart wii: carts bikes and characters how do i unlock them all?

there is more to do then just that
 
wow the only way to unlock them is by passing in 1st place in 1 player mode
by then you would have unlocked all except 2, those you have to get 1st ,by racing in all of the MIRROR STAGES( stages placed backwards) then you'll be happy and would want to play online to test your skills and torture everyone haha
