Question on lower lumbar

I already know through MRI's that I have disc problems in L/4, L5, and I'm having a Disco-gram next week. My question is kind of a funny one. In my lower back, just above my buttocks on left and right I can feel huge lumps on both sides that "move" around when I press on them, and they are painful. Any ideas as to what this is? Is this associated with my discs?
Also, how painful is the disco-gram going to be especially when I have those lumps back there?:confused:
 
Hi, I have the same lumps and they are very painful for me. Now you have me wondering what they are. Feels like it should be muscle but they move around a bit. After I felt them and pushed on them today, the lumps continued to hurt. Hope someone can answer your question as I too am curious now. Feel better

ps: should have stated I am 4 months post op 360 fusion

I may be having a fusion soon. I am having a disco-gram this next week. Not looking forward to either. I'll keep you pasted on the lumps in the lower back. I hope these don't interfere with the disco-gram because that's painful enough.:wave:
