Question for women with laminectomy

I had a laminectomy at L4 and 5 a year ago in May and for the most part, I feel much better except for when I get my period. Then I get all the sciatica symptoms and the nurabness and the back pain. It usually lasts for about ten days and is worse at the beginning of my cycle than at the end. Anyone else experience this? My doc said it was because the additional hormones make the joints loosen up but one would think that would relieve not increase pressure. I also get these horrific cramps in my left leg and foot. My foot will all of a sudden spasm and the toes will lock up and I have to literally wrestle it out of rigor. Anyone get that too?
