Question for the Stoners...

Can a cat get high from sniffing around places where there's been weed?

I'm serious about this, my cat's been acting weird. He keeps acting like he wants water but when I give him some he takes a few licks and complains for more. And then he started licking his butt, and I think he's trying to drink from it. Is he high?

And look, you might be laughing at this, but I'm not, I want my cat to be ok and healthy. He's getting up there in cat years and I'm worried about him.

Put simply, no. Next time you smoke, make sure the cat isn't around. Take him to the vet too.

No, next time you smoke blow some in its face see if he likes it. I know for a fact my 10y/o doberman loves to get high, I think it helps with her back problems because she usually has a little more chirp to her after wards.

People may think this is cruel or my dog really does not enjoy it, I challenge these people to come smoke a joint/bowl around her and see how she gets in your face ready to lap it up.

One thing about cats too is they don't prefer to drink standing water. I have a cat who will only drink from a running faucet. If I put water in a bowl for him (which I've tried, as running the water is just silly) he looks at me like I'm crazy and jumps in the sink and howls at me... le sigh!

Age could be another factor. Cats only get more particular and strange as they age. Or, maybe he's senile, and he's having flashbacks to his wild catnip days...

Keep all prescription and non prescription herbal medications where pets and children can not come into contact with them.

But the answer is no, duh.

Some pets react differently to smoke. And I doubt this is from the cat eating your bud, because you would've known it and chemically it doesn't make sense.

If I had a cat I'd train it and give it catnip as a reward.

I agree with that it probobly has worms. Just take it to the vet.

I had a cat that loved pot. He would climb up next to your face wanting you to blow smoke in his face. Although he hated it when someone smoked a cigarette. He would try to slap the cigarette out of your hand/mouth.

Your cat cannot get high like that. It more than likely does have worms, take it to the vet.

I think it's fucked up when people blow smoke in their animal's faces. You're sick and don't deserve your animal's companionship. Fucking retard. If your dog has back problems, then it needs to go to the vet. There's no need to add respiratory problems to your poor dog's health.
