Question for people with unbranded phones on ATT or TMobile...

Currently I am testing out the new chocolate with verizon but really like the LG shine and could then probably just add myself to my family's family plan but I am worried if I will have problems with sending texts and picture texts? I dont need internet or email but will need the phone to make calls and work for texting.

Also a couple phones i am looking at are triband phones, how do i find out if a triband phone will work in my specific area (tampa, florida)

I use unlocked/unbranded phones on both AT&T and Tmobile without a problem. SMS, MMS and internet all work.

I am using an unlocked/unbranded phone on AT&T, quad band though, with no problems. I had to manually enter the settings from the AT&T site (tried the SE OTA updater, but it wouldn't work). Other than that, everything works.

trying to decide on what phone to get, after reading about the shines problems i dont think its for me
