Has taking vitamins ever made any of you feel better about your anxiety?

I'm gonna start taking vitamins and try to start eating right and everything, and I'm hoping to god it will make me feel better.

I see a lot that people say getting healthy and exercising will make your anxiety not as bad but is that really true? Any personal experience from anyone?

Yes, I tried it for a while, eating right, vitamins, exercising etc. It makes a HUGE difference BUT for me my situation (going through major relationship problems) caused me to slack in taking the vitamins and eating right-I still do yoga, cardio, and sports which is probably why I am not fully anxious.

I think vitamins have been really helpful for my anxiety. Especially since I am on the run a lot and can't seem to stick to a healthy diet. Its not easy finding healthy food if you're in a hurry! The vitamins kind of even me out if that makes any sense. Excercise is the key for me however. I strongly believe that doing aerobic workouts regularly releases stress like a steam valve so it doesn't build up and become more anxiety.

I have severe depression and anxiety and I can tell you that without any doubt when I work out I feel better. I am an avid weight-lifter for about 20 years. When I run or walk on the treadmill my anxiety definitely lowers. My anxiety does not lower too much when I am lifting weights. I try to run or walk fast at least 1-2 miles per day. It feels as if I am releasing some of the anxiety. My heart seems to slow down and I feel better overall. I take a Multi-Vitamin and a B-Complex with Vitamin C and Omega-3 Fish Oil pills. The Fish Oil pills are supposed to protect the heart and the brain.

I used to struggle with body image problems (well, sometimes still do, but hardly as much) and anxiety/depression. I started a new healthy eating and exercise plan last year and it has helped so much! I don't always take vitamins because I eat nutrition bars quite often and get a lot of vitamins from those.

Exercise seems to take a LOT of my anxiety off. My problem is, I get dependent on it. If I accidentally trip and hurt my ankle or something, I can't run, and then I get extra anxious and upset because I feel that I need it. I'm working on not getting so worked up about that now! But yes, exercise has helped wonders. I run and lift light weights. For eating, I try to cut out a lot of junk and stick iwth lots of healthy, fresh fooRAB and less processed fooRAB. I feel awesome when eating this way!

Definitely give it a try!

Ok, exercise DEFINITELY helps. I just injured my ankle and am not allowed to do anything for two weeks including, exercise and I feel the same way, that I feel I need it. I am more anxious now too.

I miss working out, tennis and yoga! I used to run a lot a few years and I miss that. I can't seem to get myself to start running again because for some reason I developed a fear that tells me that running can cause death??!! Like what if my heart rate gets too high and I die, or I run out of breath and can't breathe, what if I pass out, etc so I am afraid but I LOVED running.
