Is it possible to cut/copy text or weblinks from emails in the default email program on the E61? I ask this since, from what I hear, 'clicking' on a link in the email program opens up the Nokia Service Browser (good job, Nokia) instead of the Nokia OSS Web Browser by default. I will be browsing many different forums via E61 QUITE a bit and will need this functionality. If not possible, what would be your workaround?

Thanks

I was able to cut/copy/paste with the original FW. Once I upgraded the FW, the blue function button was utilized for most applications and I couldnt figure out how to do it from that point. Search further on hofo for your answer as I'm sure members have figured it out by now. I sold my E61 a few weeks after the upgrade so I never bothered to sit down and figure it out. Afaik it should still be possible though. And as far as the Service browser, that's not correct. When I clicked on a link within my emails it directed me to the html browser. That's one of the reasons I un-installed the full version of Opera as it seem to hijack the email clients and doesnt open up the html emails I frequently recieve. Dont be reluctant to get this thing as it's a great phone and I miss it every day! N95 should ease the pain though!

Thanks Greenteeth! I really appreciate the response. I think I remember reading that the copy/cut fuctions changed to CTRL + V instead of BLUE + V (for example) but I may be talking about something else (since I dont have the phone yet and haven't even played with one yet :O) Tuesday will be a good day for me. I can't wait to get my phone, play with it for a bit, then change out the UK/Spanish keypad for a UK only, change/hack its product code, and update firmware to the newest and get her ALL set up. Then NOBODY will be able to stop me .... ahhh HAHAHAHAHahahah ah hhh hahahaha ... er.... um.... sorry.....

lol..you dont know how true that is....buddies of mine started asking me wtf phone I had because my text messages went from 20 characters to 200 overnight ....and regarding the copy/cut function...I think that's correct what you just said so you should be good to to! ....now your going to have this and in a few months get jealous when everyone else starts getting the E61i

haha ! If they release the E61i in US 3G frequencies then I'm sure I'll pick one up as well. I would spend a lot more on money if Nokia would just put out some US 3G phones..... until then, I'll probably keep the E61 for a while.

Cheers!

The ironic thing is that we're already paying a lot for those functions without the abilitiy to use them. PTT, HSDPA, Video calls...all of those features are built into the cost of these high end S60's we keep buying. That's the thing that psses me off the most!

We know it, yet we're physically unable to stop our zombie-like bodies and appendages from going online and ordering new mobile gsm terminals! HELLLPP!!!!!!
