Well right now I am a sophomore in high school with average grades (A's and B's). At the moment I am thinking about what I should do for the future. I plan on going to college and after I am finished with four years I may go to Army, Marine Corps, or National Guard. Now which one should I go to? I want the one that pays the best, and treats the best. Which one do you guys personally think pays the best or is the best all around?

Well, the national guard pays less, but only because you only go for one weekend a month, and two weeks during the summer. They also pay for college, so why not join the national guard? They will pay for your school and you get the GI bill, you get an amazing army experiences and you get to have fun on the weekend you go and get paid at the same time.

The GI bill is $329 a month I think, plus your monthly drill pay, that's about $500 for a weekend of work with the guard, and they pay for your tuition. Check out the website if you want to know more.

Although I went in the Army much later at 27, going active duty is better than National Guard. I finished my enlistment with the Guard although the unit was good, the standards, behavior, workings of the NG are not up to active duty. You are a soldier active or weekends.
Active duty will provide barracks for single soldiers and homes for families. This does not include g/f so don't go rush and marry someone. You will regret it.On post everything is tax free, including gas. The army is your job mon-fri. You get paid based on rank and time in service. There is PT EVERY day. Healthcare, taken care of. Women have babies for almost free.
Recruiters will not tell you everything; they are baiting you to get in and they get bonuses for every soldier that completes AIT. You should find someone that has gone through and not got kicked out and have them go with you when the time is good.
