I'm a sophomore in high school right now. Paying for EVERYTHING after I turn 18 will be on me - I'll need to find my own place to stay, pay for my own car, insurance, tuition, food, everything. I'm working right now, but some people have recommended that I spend some time in the military before college (I want to go for mechanical engineering). So for anyone who did:
How long did you spend in the military before you went to college?
Which branch did you choose?
Would you recommend it?
Any other advice?
