just been watching a film where one of the lead characters dies and it got me wondering... does anyone know, or would like to have an educated guess as to which movie star has died in more films than anyone else???

ive know idea myself, but would be interested to find out.

I don't know about more than anyone else but Alan Rickman's characters have died too many times imo.

His characters have actually died in six of his films plus twice he plays dead people (well an angel in one of them so I guess that counts),

so that makes eight.

And it will be nine by the time of the final Harry Potter film.

EDIT: And I haven't included Something The Lord Made - I think he dies in this one too but I can't now be sure.

Alec Guiness died about 10 times in Kind Hearts and Coronets, so that gives him a bit of a head start. I'd guess the answer to who did it the most probably lies in a trick type answer like that. Peter Sellers often played multiple roles and some would end up dying, or the film Groundhog Day etc.

Come on it has to be Christopher Lee. At least 14 or more.

Christopher Lee died in The Last Unicorn, Man with the Golden Gun, Night of the big heat, LOTR: Return of the King, and Star Wars epis III.

He has also starred in these Dracula films:

Satanic Rites of Dracula (1973)
Dracula AD 1972 (1972)
Scars of Dracula (1970)
One More Time (1970)
Taste the Blood of Dracula (1970)
Nachts, wenn Dracula erwacht (1970)
Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968)
Dracula Prince of Darkness (1966)
Dracula (1958)

I'm sure he's died in these too, but I've not checked properly.

Though I think it is more, the imdb claim the Duke appeared in 170 films.

Christopher Lee has appeared in 255, with 6 currently in production.

:geek:

:p

[edit] - , I even think the 255 is incorrect, lol.

Many of those entries are movie/video game voices and TV shows, and an awful lot of non-Hammer roles, but still makes an impressive list.

Really can't think of anyone else who could possibly hold this title. Good question though! Must be either Christopher Lee or The Duke!

It does say *spoilers* in the title of the thread....quite often when that warning is there spoilers inside are not covered by spoiler tags.
And if you didnt know about Snape by now you've done a bloody good job! Well done you for not reading the book!
