I feel a little rude, here I am asking for advice and I havent introduced myself or told you why I chose to post here:

My name is John and I have anxiety issues and have always read about people's stories here and It has always helped. This community is wonderful and supportive and that's why I joined and ask this here. I wanted to go to the best people first.

So Hello everyone how are all of you?

Here's the problem and If you have an advice or insight please share:

I have a friend who has used subutex for 2 maybe 3 months and about 2 mgs a day, she snorted some but always only 2 mg a day. I told her to quit and i broke up her last 4 mg pill into 6 peices and said take a peice every three days, but shes freaked bout withdrawals and the horror stories on the net. I told her people have that problem bc they took other opiates for years b4 switching to subs and that their brains are just dependant on opiates and that she wont go through the hell others did bc all she ever used was 2mg of subutex for 2-3months and thats all and that shes just trained to that. I didnt want to act unconfident to her, bc i dont want her freaking out or changing her mind but im right thought right? her wRAB should be minimal and the peices i have set up for her should help with the minimal wRAB and that she is in for a smooth landing? Any advice will be great, i read a lot but i have no experience here

Please, if anyone knows any info of the nature of withdrawals. This is a scary ordeal especially concerning post withdrawal syndrome. She is in school and is worried she will not make it through if she quits, but she wants to bc she knows it will only be worst later.

The withdrawel is nothing compared to Methadone or some other demonic narcotic that latches on to those receptors. Forgive me I am wounded1 (female) and have a good 30 yrs of knowledge nothing to brag about but do have valuable info on sub, meth, benzos

so remeraber everyone is different and most of the medical community is clueless. I could use some support on subutex after a 8 yr Methadone run (my 2nd) went into precipatative withdrawel and spent 8 hours of AGONY in a hospital where they shoved an IV in my veinless hand and left me lay with the crashcart outside the cubicle. By the way did i mention walked out of our 8 yr marriage. He thinks 6 methadone tens aday doesn't make him an addict like me. But thats a story for another time I live in Allentown Pa. MY prayers to all

Hello.

It depenRAB on how much nuerological damage was done from the drug. She can jump off at the dose you say and survive into a comfortable recovery. However, how long it will take her to stablize, how she will feel, severity of PAWS... depenRAB, mostly, on how many mu-opiate receptors have been changed by the drug and how many receptors have been created by the body trying to balance it's complex chemistry to normality. Other factors will weigh in, like underlying psychological issues: Why did she start using in the first place? Is she ready to quit?

I hope this helps some. People who know more than I will soon join your discussion.

Sub is a drug that I have only recreational used once or twice. My drug of choice is a vicodin-soma corabo. Any opiate can be used for my addiction, however. I can easily substitute an oxycodone for a few vicodin on any day. It doesn't make it any easier to come clean in the end, however.

Sub is supposed to be easier to come off of, but many will disagree. Most likely, sub has been hailed the wonder drug because it can help the addict address underlying psychological issues before chemical detox begins. Jmho, though.

Good luck,

mk

Excellent advice MK everyone is different the detox off subutexor subuxone is far far less than any other opiod provided it is done SLOWLEY no matter what the damage and I can relate the success rate is better when done the old 1 day at a time hope it helps (LOL)

Here's right back at ya.:) Excellent advice, too. The comfort level of a titration off of sub most likely depenRAB on how good the doctor and recovery programs are?

Yeah, I don't know much about sub. I white-knuckled through an opiate detox; my doctor wasn't very compassionate about addiction.
