Question about Windows Media Player?

I have version 11.0.6 for Windows Vista Home Basic.

Whenever I play a video clip and decide to close the player WHILE the clip is playing, the clip seems to continue to play "behind the scenes".

Example:
-I double click on my movie clip and it opens in WMP.
-The clip is playing, then I decide to close it while it's still playing.
-The media player closes.
-I can still hear the clip playing.
-If I go back to open the media player the clip is still playing.

What can I do to fix this? I want the clip to completely stop and close when I close the media player.

The wmp is not completely closed as you can see wmplayer.exe still exists in Tak Manager window. Try to end that process.
( u can type taskkill /f /im wmplayer.exe)
