Question about the new HTC Evo?

I was wondering if it keeps the texts going so you can see all of them like on the IPhone?
And if you have any other things you know about the HTC Evo, let me know. I'm debating between the Evo and the Hero... UGH!
I just don't want to get one of them and HATE texting on it!
