I spent my first year as a grad student in a dorm and I don't really know what places in the city are good places to rent an apartment. Some ppl are telling me that the Plateau is an interesting area to live in. I think that I would prefer an apartment with 2 bedrooms (for a roommate), no carpets, safe but inexpensive, near the green line metro, and with those steam radiators instead of those baseboard heaters - a friend of mine had her baseboard heater almost catch her apartment on fire!
Anyway are all those demands unreasonable or is it possible to find an appartment like this? Where do I start even looking?!
