Question about steroids

Any one out there that has taken steroids.
mine is a general question about dosage and expected improvement.

prednisone 60 mg for 3 days 40 mg for 3 days 20 mg 3 days 10 mg 3 days
at what point in the dosage should you expect to see an improvement regardless of what it is prescribed for.

Well, it must be quite an inflammation! Usually it's at least halfway thru the course of meds before any change is seen and probably closesr to the end before real clearing up is done.
 
Thanks for your reply it's actually my son who is taking them for an eye problem that has gone on for nearly eighteen months after numerous test the doctors could never find what caused his optic nerve to be swollen.
He is with a new doctor now and although the swelling is not there he has blurry vision and a lot of interference the doctor tried neurotin and now he is on prednisone to see if it will make his eye return to normal. he is at the halfway mark with the tablets and were hoping it will work.
