I'm sorry to hear about your anxiety about having your test. I was terrified and I put it off way too long because of my fear. Please have the test done, but just know that if you do decide to cancel it, you will not be the first person who has done so, so don't be too hard on yourself. But, you would also just be prolonging the inevitable, eventually you will have to have it and the sooner you do the closer you will be to finding some relief for your symptoms. If you are getting Propofol, have no fear my friend, you will not remeraber anything, or feel anything, and when you wake up you will be very surprised that the test is already done and over with. In fact, when they woke me up I was upset with them because I was actually having a good dream and I thought I was at home in my own bed. Of course the worst part is waiting for the test and being awake before they give you the drug, but once they give it to you it's like you're not even there, you won't even know you're there, trust me. It's much better and different than some of the other drugs they use for sedation. You are very lucky.

You are right about the Xanax but, and I apologize if it seems like I'm arguing with you, that isn't my intention at all, there is another cause of GERD besides just acid reflux. Sometimes it's from bile reflux which is just a little bit different and Xanax works very well for the treatment of that with the added bonus of helping with anxiety. There are other medications that help with bile reflux but with the Xanax you kill two birRAB with one stone. It is a merry-go-round of trial and error and yeah, that stinks. There has been a study done on Xanax for GERD by an MD. I wish I could post the link but I don't think I can. It's worth reading and even though doctors hate it, I printed it out and took it to my doctor to read because he didn't know anything about it and he thought I was crazy.

I'm sorry for the hassle you are having with finding the right meRAB. I think it's great that you're going to see a counselor. It feels good to have a person that isn't a part of your life to dump your problems on and walk away until your next appointment. I don't know what I would do without mine and I was lucky to find a very good one, which doesn't always happen the first time so if you don't like this person or you feel like they aren't helping you then don't be afraid to shop around. Your regular doctor can't diagnose the causes of GERD accurately without the tests, that's why they make you have them ssometimes before they see you. It saves everyone time and money. Anxiety is different though, there aren't any tests for that, it's based on face to face communication and Xanax is a controlled substance so they have to be more careful about prescribing it. If your doctor decides not to give it to you for some reason or you don't feel like you can wait until next week then please don't hesitate to see a psychiatrist instead. There shouldn't ever be any erabarrassment about that, that's what they are there for and you shouldn't have to suffer any more or longer than you already have.
I missed the mortgage crisis by about a month so I wasn't so lucky in getting lost in the shuffle and being ignored by my mortgage company. Oh well, consider yourself lucky and consider it a gift that they haven't contacted you. I hope you are able to save your home. It sounRAB like you're doing everything you can to prevent foreclosure from happening so don't give up. If you haven't gotten the notice for the sheriff's sale then you are probably still okay. I don't know how things work in your state but check into it.
The test used to diagnose MVP is an echocardiogram. It's just like any other ultrasound. It's very quick and painless and nothing to be afraid of. Alot of people have MVP. It's very common, especially in women, and it's not a life threatening thing. It can cause certain symptoms and there is something called MVP syndrome but it's not serious and a lot of people have it and don't have any symptoms at all and most of the time don't even know they have it. It's something to look into but put it low on your list of priorities and definitely don't worry about it.
