Question about Sanyo 52" model number differences?

I drive a semi and only home a few times a week and on the weekends. So when we decided to buy a tv, my wife went a bout the one we had previously decided on at Wal Mart. It was a 52 inch Sanyo with a model number of DP52440, well, there was something wrong with it, so she took it back right away and exchanged it for supposedly the same tv, well when she got home she noticed this model number was DP52449. Those may not actually be the model numbers? I don't know. But anyway the new one is working fine. Does anybody know what the difference is between those two numbers?
 
It was probably a slightly updated model of its predecessor. If they find a cheaper way of doing something they will make a new model no. for same TV's essentially or it could be another batch made. I have checked them both out online and they seem to have identical specifications, as far as I can tell. It does seen that they added something over model 0 to model 9 as model 9 is 0.6lb heavier according to the website.
