Ok, have 55 gallon tank, i want to set it up so it has sand for a soft water sting ray..The ray is only about the size of my hand and pet store said mim 20 gallon tank. I have two ploypterus that i was wondering if sand would be ok for them as well as What the hec does soft water mean.No one seems to be able to give me a straight answer.
The ray was about 75 dollars..He was awesome.And YES IT was fresh water not salt water. I really like the idea of having sand instead of gravel. If it is just low ph shouldn't most fish survive in soft water.
