I contracted with the pennsylvania national guard a few months ago as an SMP cadet while I was in ROTC. After liking the ROTC program I contracted into the ROTC program and my enrollment officer told me that when I graduated if I wanted to go active duty I was to sign the active duty scholarship contract and that the PA National Guard had 48 hours to discharge me after signing the active duty contract. He then told me along with our battalion commander that I was not to report to drill because my national guard contract was null and void due to the signing of the active duty contract. I then receive a phone call from my national guard unit stating that I haven't shown up for drill and i need to start showing up for drill or they will consider me AWOL. I tried to explain the situation with them but am very confused on the situation I am in. Would anybody be able to clarify this for me?
