I've just started to learn PHP and there is one thing that puzzles me.
If PHP pages can display both html and php, but HTML pages can only display html, why aren't the vast majority of the pages on websites PHP?
If PHP can do everything html can do plus more, wouldn't everyone want their pages to have a php extension so they would have the option of using it if they ever wanted to?
