Question about PHONE.

Hello everyone,
I have a question. What is the main thing to look for when buying a phone, or to rephrase my question what is the one thing that a phone must have which makes it a good one? For example I recently bought a sub woofer speaker to add to my home entertainment system and while doing some research I found that the one thing to look for no matter what brand it is, is frequency response. The higher the better. The same goes when looking for a decent pair of earphones, no matter how cheap they may be they will still produce decent sound quality, so if any of you savvy phone wizards can answer this question I would find it helpful, and thank you in advance.

If your buying a phone now, to me the basic features that are a necessity are
1. Quad band GSM (if ur getting a GSM phone, doesnt apply for CDMA devices)
2. Network coverage/Data Coverage
3. Good battery life
4. Good call quality

Camera/GPS/Internet capabilities are add-ons, but I think the four I mentioned are what you should start from while looking for a phone.

Hmmm, interesting, but is there any thing in specific which you look for in a phone? be it something that was put inside or outside like an antenna or chip? I guess there is no solid answer to this one as it all depends and ranges from the different components like screen, keypad, and what not, but I just thought it be interesting to know what you guys think.
Thanks.

There's several things I insist on with a phone....mind you, this is my own PERSONAL list.

Must have music capability, preferably with front-controls
Must be capable of PC-Sync with Outlook for calendar and contacts
Must have good RF
Must have Bluetooth.

Other people have different priorities, these are just mine. PC Syncing is a big deal for me, because I keep everything in Outlook anyway, and it's a LOT easier for me to just transfer my phonebook that way...and the calendar also, since I use it a lot.

I figured, but I wanted a large display, E90 wasnt out that time, hence I opted for HTC's Artemis. 2.8" is good enough for me + its touchscreen
