Question about petite and regular sized jeans?

I'm 5'2" and take a size S (small) 27-28 in jeans. The inseam usually being 28' (after being hemmed). There are jeans that I want to buy, but they don't have any in my size in stock. The ones that I want are bootcut jeans, and the other size that I COULD go for it R 28' ('R' being regular) with a 33' inseam. If I were to go with the 33' inseam and have them hemmed (of course), would they look ridiculous? I'm thinking that they wouldn't look like bootcut jeans anymore (losing 5 inches)

What do you think?
