Question about Palestine?

I was apart of a debate at my school, and In my argument on International Policy, I stated that "I' don't recognize Israel, but I''ve heard of Palestine". People got very upset, which was good in a debate.

But I couldn't understand how a room full of supposed to be intellects, could detach a "created State", from a "real" country with a "real" and rich history, and seperate the two.

Anyone care to enlighten me, on this.

I'm not pro or against "Israel", I could care less, I'm simply looking at the facts.....Help. My class concludes this debate tomorrow
 
People from israel are mainly jews and prefer circumcised men!
Palestanian gals are hot!
Those two countries however hate each other.
