Question about new Texas teen driving laws?

I got my permit in early august and i live in texas.
Then on september 1st there were a few new driving laws that were applied.
I turn 16 in may and plan to get my license then
Am i still allowed to drive with one other person under the age of 21 for 6 months then after 6 months it can be any number of people?
Because i keep hearing things about not being able to drive anyone my age around for an entire year...
But i couldnt find anything on the internet about it
