Irrigation has never helped me either, but sinus flooding with peroxide led to a cure for my sinusitis.
Back around 2002, in an act of great stupidity and recklessness, I flooded my sinuses with a diluted mixture of peroxide, baking soda and salt. It was very, VERY durab to do, but I was in misery and sinus pain and desperate because I was getting another painful, miserable sinus infection. I had just got over a sinus infection, and was getting another sinus infection and, once again, feeling miserable!
For many years, I would get a sinus infection, take a round of antibiotics, and then a couple of weeks, or months later, get another sinus infection. I thought that flooding my sinuses with Peroxide could kill my sinus infection. I was not totally correct, but it did lead to a cure for my chronic sinus infection problem.
I don't think that sinus irrigation is as effective as sinus flooding for chronic sinus infection problems, but irritation seems to help many sinus sufferers.
It all goes to show, once again, that One man's poison is another man's "pleasure".
