Okay i have two 12"s in a ported box (by the way) they sound awesome. They are car speakers.
I have one 8" sub in a ported box
i have two either 5.25" or 6" subs in separate ported boxes.
i have a 5.1 surround sound system
I have a regular stereo in which i use as an amp for the 12"s
The Surround sound is the main receiver with the highs and mids and i have an output for the Stereo just for the bass.
My Question is should i just leave the 12"s connected for the bass or can i add the other three subs to my Surround sound for added bass or will this be horrible.
Dont forget the 12"s are connected to the Stereo not the Surround Sound and no subwoofers are connected to the SS as of Now
Thanx in Advance to those of you who answer my Question :).

There is such as thing as too much bass...you run a danger of overwhelming the sound with boom, boom, boom...not a good sound at all, unless all you listen to is rap. Even then, the boom, boom, boom is unnatural, at best. The problem with ported sound systems is that they are tuned to a specific frequency, are very loud at that frequency, and fall off rapidly on frequencies higher or lower than the box is tuned to. Your choice, but were it me, and if I wanted to listen to anything other than rap, I would seriously reconsider what I was doing assembling a sound system. Good luck.
