if it was posted already i apologize i just couldn't find it. i'm gonna get either the n91 8gb when it arrives, or the n93. i just wanted to know if the sound quality between the 2 is that big of a difference. any thoughts?

The quality of the N91 is a tad better, and has a more dedicated and specialized music player....don't forget the dedicated keys.

But this doesn't mean that the N93 PLAYER and output is bad, it is good,,,,,but the N91 is a notch higher.

If there is any hit that the N93 takes on MP3 quality versus the N91, it'd be worth it to grab the N93 anyway. The no-flash 2mp camera, low res screen, and tiny keypad won't be worth using if you're only getting a little bit better quality audio output.

The mp3 player on all the N-series phones (besides N91) is retarded. if you're looking for a music device, go with the N91 8GB - it's a much better buy for music any day of the week. you can plug your headphones directly in, and 8GB vs a max of 2GB, it shouldn't be any contest.

;8213606']hey man! im facing exactly the same problem right now.
see, i either gonna get n91 8gb or n93 + ipod nano
i wanted to get n91 long time ago and finally i have enought money and stuff
+n91 8gb has bluetooth audio(u can check the official nokia USA website)
so it is way better(right now i have ipod video which i can return and get full refund) to have wireless headset, coz i have to carry around my phone and my mp3 and my pockets getting kinda big and not comfortable at all.

n91 is a just a lil bigger than nano+no wired headphones

so my problem is that i wanna get a phone for about 1.5 years & i dun think im gonna fill up all 8gb
and the n93 DOES make a really good phone overall, although it IS pretty big, even for me (i have nokia 6260 now, and everyone telling it looks like a phone from 80s lol)

so its like dat. u know, buying n93 is so exciting-im in high school right now and i could have shoot a lot of videos or make my own J@ckass movie

anyway, tell me wat u'll decide. and plz other ppls opinions are very important too

im getting a phone next tuesday anyway, so i have to decide(unless its n91 8gb which is not sooner than 2 weeks from now)

p.s.: i forgot to say, i have nokia headphones for my 6260 and i can assure u that those sux-in terms of how they connect to a phone. i'm afraid the same thing is gonna be with n93 pop port is getting very loose very quickly dats a definite minus

cheers

the new 4gb miniSD's work with the n93 right? so as far as size of memory to store ur music goes SD is growing all the time, its a lot harder to replace a harddrive than flash memory.

N91 music quality is LOT better. One you listen to N91.. it is hard to go back to any other phone. If music is important to you.. then wait for N91 8GB, otherwise go with N93.

Hi all,
I have a N93 with the Ad-46 and use my own Sony in ear headphones admittedly i am no audiophile but the sound is good enough for me but do wish they would the A2DPbluetooth profile. Watching a properly encoded movie like this produces great sound and picture. i also find a 2gb card is plenty although i do have a spare 1gb that i might chuck a load more films on.

Hi all,
Update from last post i no longer want A2DP on my N93 as i had this on my SE M600 with a pair of HBH-DS970 & at the time i thought this was a great combo. Leaving aside the battery issues, i have now gone back to my N93 using the AD-46 with a pair of Sony MDR-EX71SL and it gives a much richer detailed sound. Plus i can answer my calls without having to remove my headphones as the AD-46 has a built in Microphone so IMO is much better than a dedicated 3.5mm jack point.

I can't agree with MNguyen.

Sound quality depends on:
1) The phone/player (hardware)
2) The output (headphone/speaker)

I have N93 now. I never had/try the N91 headphone audio quality.
But i heard that it's the BEST.

Having own N93 for about 3 months, i'm VERY satisfied.
I used sony disk-man a long time ago; Ever tried I-pod before.
In my opinion, N93 sound quality (using the standard nokia headphone) is comparable to I-Pod.
I don't really know about N91 but from what i've heard, it's the best for music. (or probably it's the headphone difference)

My suggestion is,
get Nokia N93 ALONE!
You'll be satisfied with it.
wi-fi, 3.2mpix, VGA recording, new and fast processor, above average sound quality, what else do you want?
Otherwise, wait for N95.

It's definately better.
But I don't think that it's that MUCH MUCH MUCH better.
Try using a better headphone on N93 and you'll know..

Hi all,
Of course the sound on the N91 is going to be better as this is it's main feature it is a Music Playing phone this is it's strongest point. As for waiting for the N95 no thanks i much prefer the form factor of my N93 and definitely don't won't GPS in my phone either it's not like my Holox GPS is big or difficult to move to the car when needed and TT6 IMO has the best Sat Nav maps and directions.

If all you care about is Music get a N91 if on the other hand you want a Smart phone that can do everything and is still a good Music Player IMO the N93 is more than up to the job. But a lot really does depend on how you convert your music and your choice of headphones also plays a big part.

u know, its impossible to always get the newest thing
the earliest n95 is gonna come out is march-april. ok lets say february. still damn 2 months away
