Question about Mixed Martial Arts?

What do they teach you in mma? like bjj, muay thai, judo, wrestling, boxing, kick boxing, and etc? or do they just teach you striking and submissions? If so wont it cost more since they are teaching your alot of styles instead of one?
do i need to know any of that fighting styles to do mma
