question about mail at boot camp?

i leave for marine corps recruit training in about a month. i know i'll be writing home to my family, and that apparently i send a "form letter" home from parris island once i've gotten there that indicates my address up there. however, for any friends i may have that i want to write, since i don't exactly have their addresses memorized or anything, do i bring like a list of addresses with me? i know i pretty much arrive at recruit training with the clothes on my back and like a bible if i wish, so should i just tuck a piece of paper with everyone's address on it in the bible? or i dunno what lol...i probably sound pretty paranoid about getting mail to them, but i just want to make sure i can write them at least one letter indicating my address so they can keep writing to me. thanks!

I am in the Navy. When I went to boot camp, we were allowed to bring an address book. A small one. I can't see why it would be any different in the MC. Any questions you have like this, your recruiter should be able to answer for you.

Stick the list in your wallet. I don't think they make you send that home.

My husband is at Basic Training for the Army right now, and when he left, I made a copy of friends and families addresses and put it in his Bible as a bookmark. No one said anything about it, so he gets to write letters home to everyone. If for some reason they won't let you do that, then you can mail letters home to your parents to give to family and friends that are close by.
