Question about Labwork

o no its mo

Several months of feeling bad--sinus infections, throat, general malaise, etc. Finally went to doctor...2 rounds of rx later still feeling "not quite right". Did blood work. B12 very low, D low and ANA positive (antichromatin antibodies of 5.4). Any speculations anybody about what could be going on??

You really need to go to a rheumatologist if you have a positive ANA. That's a sign of autoimmune disease. This doctor is a specialist in this area and can diagnose you and start you on treatment which will likely greatly relieve your symptoms. Autoimmune diseases call for a very specific set of medications and need close follow up, especially during times when you are symptomatic. I'd call right away as some rheumatologists can fill up fast. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply--i do have an appointment with a rheumatologist and was very fortunate to get in quickly once my "case" was evaluated. I love to research around on the net and what i find out there is a bit overwhelming. It's good to know that i am on the right track.
