I need 2 iphones, which are pretty easy to get, BUT my question is will they work in Russia with service other then at&t. when i look for an unlocked phone on ebay they say its unlocked but you still have to use it though at&t service, wtf?

so is it even possible to get an iphone that will work with other service??

The AT&T phone won't work in Russia, unless you want to pay 5 dollars a minute. Apple is currently working on releasing the phone into other countries.

When the phone was hacked, there was a tmobile entry and another one for Europe. So, speculation is that they're already lining up their European carriers.

i know it is locked, but if the frequencies are different it wouldnt work even if it was truely unlocked
