I've purchased my own car, and eventually I'd like to get custom rims of some sort on it. However, the car has 16" wheels, and most custom rims seem to start out at 18" or more.
So, what is the maximum size I can put on the vehicle (1998 Pontiac Grand Prix)?
And, if I increase the size of the rims, will the speedometer read incorrectly, or is that not an issue?
(Logically, I'd think that a larger radius of wheels would throw off the speed reading, which I assume is based on the rpm of the axle and the base wheel size, but I may be totally wrong)
Thanks in advance!
