Is there a way to personalize text message tones for individual contacts? The guy at the store assured me there was a way to do this. I however can't find a program! Any helps appreciated! Thanks!

Hello there,
I believe you can use an app called 'handcent' - its FREE too
(downloadable from the apps market) but you would have to use this as your default text program. It will conflict with the existing text application but can be amended by setting handcent as the default text messenger to do this, simply go to the text messaging app that came on your phone, then press the menu button, then settings and then un-tick the box that says 'Notifications'.
UPDATE: It doesn't seem to allow you to set up individual sounds for contacts at the minute but you can use the Google talk app that will say the contacts name. The only other alternate is to use the paid version of 'Rings Extended'.
Handcent is still a better text app anyways
