Question about HSG test...?

I'm going to get an HSG test performed? I'm very nervous! My question is, Is it painfull? is it a long procedure? Can my husband be in the room with me ?
 
I am really sorry to say this.....I have a very high pain thresh hold, but this pain is imense, i was immediatly sick and burst into tears when the dye was injected into my ovaries and tubes, husbands are supposed to go in with you according to my hospital, otherwise they wouldnt perform it, it may be different though as mine was called a hycosy, but when i researched a HCG it sounded similar...

well I have never heard of that test but I have heard of a HCG test and it is done taking urine or blood or even both so yes it can be painful but your husband should be able to be in there I had a molar pregnancy two years ago and had to have weekly blood drawing for 1 yr until my HCG levels were normal good luck
