question about form I-864 to adjust to a permanent resident?

I came to the US on a student visa in 2006. Howver after dating with my girlfriend for 4 years we decided to get married and now we have a new born baby. My wife(US citizen) and I got married back in August 10'...however i wanted to apply for a green card but my wife doesn't meet the requirements of the sponsorship. Which means she isn't making the income set by the uscis that requires to have 125% poverty level. Therefore is there any other way we can prove that its not a shame marriage and that we really need the green card so that i can work and support my family to the immigration office? Please help
