ok i downgraded to the 45/mo plan with 5 dollar flex pay. i can use that 5 dollars to buy roaming minutes correct? do i have to log into the site to purchase them? it hasn't deposited the flex money yet so i can't really see anything regarding how to buy stuff :(

Flex Bucket $5
The Flex Bucket allows you to pre-pay for services such as games, wallpaper, nationwide roaming minutes, international long distance, ringtones, ringback tones, and more automatically in $5 increments. Flex Bucket services expire after 12 months. more

i'm probably wrong b/c i use a backup with ckt/vzw dual nams when i roam, but i thought you could just make roaming calls if you have $$$ in your flex bucket and they deduct from there...

last time i had the flex bucket, i couldnt roam unless i had the 55 dollar plan. atleast thats what i found out in my market. but now it says i can use it for roaming minutes. i must have roaming, but using my flex bucket would be the perfect solution.

no. you must have a roaming code on your account to use roaming. you can have any one of the following: $55 or $60 plan, $5 $10 $15 bolt-on features and some legacy bolt-on features. money in the flex bucket can be used for roaming once your included minutes are used up, but you will not be able to roam unless one of the roaming codes is on the account.

you need one of the following features for roaming to work:

R10 Nationwide Roaming $10.00
R15 Nationwide Roaming $15.00
R5O/ROM/ROS Nationwide Roaming $5.00

or one of these plans:
R55 CRICKET NATION 100 55
R60 CRICKET NATION 200 60

These feature codes will not give you roaming, but the funRAB can be used for extra minutes after your other minutes are used up:
L15 Flex Bucket $15.00
L5 Flex Bucket $5.00

hmm

how hard is it to get that R50/ROM/ROS feature added? should i call and ask?

my bill was 55+5(wap) and now its the 45(wap)+5(flex)

it is r5o (not a zero) or ROM or ROS they are all different codes that do the same thing i think. but i think the problem you are still running into is that they don't want to add it to a flashed phone. i know the option is missing from mine, as is the option to add WAP to plans that don't include it, when the esn is not recognized.

i think the CSR's are using a version of the same program dealers have access to and thus the option probably does not show up for them either, you may need to go into a corp store to get it added as they have direct access to the billing system, but there is really no reason they should not add it for you..
