Question about Fishing permit? HELLLP?

iam planning to fish at castic lake in cal, but I dont know where to get fishing permits, or how much do they cost?
iam going with a couple of buddies too, does everyone need a permit?
 
well i live in louisiana and im 15 and ive been having my lisence. Me and my friend went to the louisiana wildlife and fishiries for 3 hours for 2 days. you can also take it online but I perfer taking it. I got mine for free, just sat in class for a couple hours. Only the driver of the boat has to have their permit or lisence
