This morning I fed my fish, a blue male betta named Blue.. He was fine...Couple hours later, BIG UGLY BLUE EYE. D=
Is this Popeye? It is not "popping" out, but one of them is light blue colored, and a little bigger than the other, almost like its clouded over...
He lives in his 5 gallon tank, and I read online that i can try treated it with Epsom salt, and if it doesn't work i can buy him meds for it. I pretty much freaked out, put him in a fish bowl with some of the water from his tank, and proceeded to clean his tank...I siphoned his gravel, and cleaned his ornaments with water, and did maybe a 75% water change...Is this bad? I hope not....Anyways and then I treated the new water, and i'm going to let it sit over night to get the right temperature of the room. Tomorrow I will put him back into his tank....

I do 25% water changes weekly, is this wrong?
How can I prevent diseases in the future?
How can I cure what he has now?
Please bear with me, I am a new fish owner, and I just got him a new tank maybe a month ago..He has been REALLY happy and healthy since I switched his tanks. Please try not to be critical and call me stupid, i just want to help my little baby.
