Question about fish care?

So, recently I decided I wanted to get a tropical aquarium for my room, so I'll probably be getting it for my birthday. One of my neighbors has a small shark type thing in his aquarium, it's really cute but his is freshwater. I can't find any sites that will help me, but basically I just want to know if there are saltwater sharks small enough for a fish tank that will go in my room, and what they eat and how long they live. Also, if anyone knows how long yellow saltwater puffers (I don't know what they're actually called, sorreh) live, and what they eat, I hope you'll tell me. Thankies.

Keep in mind that a salt water tanks are a lot more work and are a lot trickier to maintain than a freshwater tank (which is tricky as it is). Also, exotic fish like sharks are going to be a lot more sensitive to things like pH and ammonia levels which means its even more imperative to know what you're doing. It sounds like you don't have a whole lot of aquarium experience, so I'd recommend starting out with freshwater and something hearty. Also, be sure to not over crowd your tank, fish need a lot more space than you would think. My single goldfish has a 20 gallon tank (that's on the bigger side since goldfish are especially dirty but you get the idea). Don't worry even with only a few basic fish you can still have an awesome aquarium because you can jazz it up with very colorful rocks and decorations and stuff. Once you have mastered the aquarium basics then you can move on to bigger and better things!! Good luck!

saltwater sharks will eat ANYTHING that can fit in their moulth. they are not ccompatible with smaller fish.

That shark is actually in the catfish family, real sharks require huge tanks, even the relatively small ones. Also freshwater is easier to maintain and has cheaper fish then saltwater.
