Question about dragging brakes?

The bike is in the shop and they said all the damage is cosmetic to the right side. They are going to replace everything. So it will be nice to have a new bike again. I will have them look into why the front end dove down. The only functional theory we have is that after I replaced the front brake lever that it must have been dragging slightly and caused them to over heat or something. There is not over heating indications on the front rotors at all.

The rotors are flat and the bike rolled fine when I left the house. I don't really know but Ducati will fix it.

Once I get the bike back all brand new I am going to sell it, the wife is all over me about this one.

Stop the denial. Read my posts on the first page of the thread. If Ducati picks up the costs of the crash repairs I think the dealer has done a great job of pulling the wool over their eyes. If you don't assure the masters are fully returning, ( sticking my neck out here and likely caused by the levers) you'll be on your ass again within a week. This time in traffic with an old lady in a Buick flattening you.

Brakes if dragging to the best of my knowledge should not lock up when barely dragging. They should like in our cars or truck and even other bike when racing and they over heat (if this is the case) they should become useless and spongy feeling and have far less significant braking power. I made it about 2 miles from house with no indication of any dragging so if they were it was VERY light, so light the bike rolled very free. I used the brakes a few times before getting on the freeway and they seemed fine.
 
I have seen on two occasions where the rear wheel has locked because the brake lever was not returning to it's proper position. i,e the piston will not clear the return hole. All it needs is a little heat and the fluid will expand and not be allowed to return to the master cylinder. result - locked wheel.
