Ok, here is the thing. I am 23 years old and have Type 2 Diabetes. I know to join the military (more specifically Air Force) it is practically frowned upon, and lose any chance of getting in. BUT I am also 5'8, 230lbs (female) and I plan to drop 50-60lbs before I do anything. If I get fit, healthy, eat right, stay on an exercise regimine... do you think there is a possibility my diabetes will become 'dorment' like and won't be detected when I take the blood test? Do you think I can still get in? Im currently not on any pres. because of certain herbs I take that also helps it. Please serious reply's only, im serious.
Yeah I haven't been on meds for 6 months and I feel fine. I do plan on working hard to get this weight off, I just started last week and dropped 5 so far. I don't plan on telling the recruiter, I do have a glucose machine which I just need to get new strips for. I just need to know if there is a possibility. I heard they will take my blood sample but as long as its not high and no trace of meds, its possible.
