question about cycling fish tank?10 points?

i know that before you buy fish you need you cycling your fish tank first. i know that you to put ammonia in by using fish food used filter and gravel. when you do that the ammonia start then ammonia convert in to nitrite then convert in to nitrate. so my question is do you have to put in nitrite and nitrate too or you just need to put in ammonia in your fish tank ? can you explain to me plz?

Nope, just put in ammonia. It'll be turned into nitrite and then nitrate for you, so as long as you put in ammonia, your bacteria will be doing the job of adding nitrite/nitrate for you ^^
