Hello! I have a hypothetical question.
If an accused (but innocent) person lies in court and pleads as guilty, but the lawyer knows they are innocent, can the lawyer do anything about it? Or is the plea of the person all that matters?

Yeah I guess i didn't make that clear. I meant like if the defendent told the lawyer they were innocent first and then changed stories, what does the lawyer do in this situation?
