I dont have any crisco and the reciepe I have calls for 1 cup of Crisco. Can I use 1 cup of butter in place of the crisco???
 
hi there! the short answer is yes! Many times, I've used butter instead. Butter gives everything a great taste. Crisco helps things to bake up higher. For instance, I used butter in my cookies when it asked for Crisco. The taste was great, but the cookies were a bit flat. No matter, thought, they all disappeared!

Of course...you may actually get a better flavor.
If the recipe calls for Butter Flavor Crisco sticks, use butter. If the recipe calls for Crisco Oil, use melted butter.
